Niceyboy’s Return to Morat: A Chilly Comeback with Warm Moments

Yesterday, the ice field of Morat witnessed a comeback. Niceyboy returned to the ice for the second time. His first appearance had been a year ago, and it was freezing to the bone back then. This time, luck was on our side, still cold, but no rain and slightly kinder temperatures. A blessing for an outdoor set!

As always, the ice was full of young kids skating about. They were curious, of course, asking questions about the mixing tables while we set up. It’s always a bit tricky balancing setup with an audience of inquisitive eyes, but we managed.

Niceyboy spun his signature house sound until about 9 PM. Of course, there were requests, mostly from kids asking for pop hits, but Niceyboy stayed true to his sound. It wasn’t a pop party, after all!

The funniest moment was when an elderly woman asked, multiple times, for the mic to sing “Happy Birthday” to a child. Niceyboy hadn’t planned for a karaoke interlude, but hey, we handled it. Everyone left happy.

After his set, his friends took over with some rap performances, rounding off a lovely evening. A chilly comeback, yes, but a heartwarming one.
