Pinte du Vieux Manoir, Meyriez, Early Birthday Session
On the 6th, a familiar constellation reunited, much like Vevey, this time in Meyriez, right next to the infamous Le Vieux Manoir, once the only five-star hotel in the entire canton of Fribourg. At the Pinte du Vieux Manoir, the Amuse Bouche crew transformed the space into something not entirely, but almost reminiscent of Pablo in Saint-Tropez.
The occasion was a celebration of Niceyboy’s 25th birthday, not on the actual date, but close enough. With most people already deep in Christmas celebrations by December 21st, moving it forward turned out to be a smart and joyful decision.
Food played a central role that night. A steady flow of tartare, fish variations, mini burgers, Egli fillets, and sweet bites circulated the room, adding a generous, convivial layer to the experience.
Ironically, the birthday guest himself didn’t get behind the decks during the main event, busy hosting, greeting, and making sure everyone felt welcome. The rest of the crew held things down beautifully. There was a brief technical hiccup with the brand-new analog loudspeakers Chun Hao and Niceyboy had picked up the day before in Winterthur, but thankfully Vadim’s trusted speakers came to the rescue and saved the sound.
We wrapped up around midnight, packed everything up, and carried the night over to Niceyboy’s place. By then, many had left, and the atmosphere shifted into something closer to a listening bar, unreleased demos, attentive ears, shared curiosity. A space to experiment, reflect, and play music that doesn’t necessarily belong on a big dancefloor.
Not every moment was perfect. One guest struggled to adapt to the shift in energy and crossed boundaries, a reminder that after-parties require trust, respect, and awareness. Still, once Niceyboy finally stepped in, he leaned into a trippy, deep, and spiritual direction, closing the long night with intention. Two listeners in particular fully embraced that journey and made the ending feel meaningful.
