POLLINATION

For the ones a little extra curious about what’s been happening behind the scenes lately, this one is for you.

Thursday night was one of those nights we’ll probably talk about for years.

We got invited back by our dear friends and collaborators from Pavot to curate the music at one of our favorite places in Lausanne: Le Bourg.

This time felt different though.

For the first time, the party moved from the bar into the club itself. A real risk for everyone involved. We were nervous, obviously. It was over 20 degrees outside, summer suddenly hit the city, people were partying by the lake, in the vineyards, all across Lausanne. A lot of reasons for the room to stay half empty.

But somehow, everything aligned.

Le Bourg sold out completely. Every last soul inside that room brought energy. Just a few weeks ago, Merz and I played there in front of 5 people. That night there were around 200.

And the most beautiful part: we played exactly what we wanted.

Sometimes accessible, sometimes familiar, then suddenly strange, exotic, unknown. We took risks. No formulas, no pretending. Just music we truly love , some of it even made by ourselves.

It felt magical.
Another friendly reminder of why we started all of this in the first place.

For almost 2 years now, we’ve been working on this project every single day. There were setbacks, humiliations, disappointments, disrespectful behavior, moments where nothing made sense anymore. But nights like this somehow make all of it worth it again.

I think the biggest lesson for us was this: people can feel honesty.

Not perfection. Not hype. Not trends. Real intention.

So if you’re building something right now music, art, a brand, a dream, keep going a little longer. The quiet periods are part of it too. Sometimes it only takes one moment for everything to suddenly make sense again.

Thank you, Pavot for, once again, sharing your fertile soil with us. We won’t forget this one.
