Int. Skateboarding Day in Basel

On International Skateboarding Day, Basel felt like one long moving session. The Glitter crew hit curbs and rails all day before landing at Kaserne for the finale. Chun Hao and Niceyboy closed it with a tight one-hour set. Pure energy. Tired legs, big smiles, skaters bouncing like it was nowhere near over. Even passersby stopped to dance. Earlier that day, we dipped into Art Basel too, catching that Daft Punk and Rampa collaboration, a sculptural piece with a tape machine and Elena Roussevelt voicing human rights. Followed by a no-phone rave with Thomas Bangalter and Rampa, surreal, present, no screens, just bodies and sound. Then straight from that into our closing set, hot night, full hearts.
