Montreux Magic
About ten days ago, we had the absolute honor of playing at the legendary Montreux Jazz Festival, an experience we won’t forget anytime soon. With its rich history and global reputation, just being part of it already felt incredibly special.
The weather on the day of our set was... let’s say, less than ideal at first. Rain, clouds, and a general feeling of uncertainty hung in the air, and we were admittedly nervous. Would anyone even show up? But then something beautiful happened: the moment we started our set, the weather shifted. The clouds parted, the sun came out, and just like that, the vibe transformed completely. It was pure magic.
What made it even more memorable was sharing that moment with friends, family, and so many new faces who came purely for the love of music. We had guests dancing with us from 5:40 PM all the way through to 9:00 PM, non-stop. People were Shazaming our tracks, asking about the music, connecting. It felt like a real exchange, a shared experience.
The Li Lo Stage is quickly becoming something of a gem at the Montreux Jazz Festival. The curation is tight, and the artists who play there are all about quality. A huge thank you to Vadim Mayer and his lovely Family for giving us this platform and believing in what we do, plus letting us warm up the dance floor for him and his friends from Indie House Records for almost 3 hours!!!
Playing Montreux wasn’t just another gig; it was a dream come true, full of emotion and connection, and I will be forever thankful.
